Jacob Taccardi and Social Media
Jacob Taccardi has both a Facebook and Twitter account. This comes as no real surprise as almost everyone uses some form of social networking. Facebook helps Jacob stay connected to friends from high school as well as stay connected to family whom he doesn’t get to see on a regular basis. He uploads photos he’s taken, tags them, and shares them like every other user.
Facebook not only helps people communicate, but allows people to expand their social networking into groups of people they may have never met but share the same passions. And many businesses have been quick to use Facebook as an advertising tool. What better way to promote your product or a new product than marketing to someone who may already ‘like’ you? And Facebook advertising isn’t limited to food or beverage but extends to movies and clothing retail as well. You can ‘like’ Disney, ‘like’ Old Navy, etc.
Everyone moves in a variety of different social circles. Everyone can enter and leave a social group; a group of friends or all your friends from high school, starting a new social circle during your college years, and joining another social circle once actively working. But the benefit that Facebook offers is staying connected if only infrequently to those old social circles that you used to travel in.
As previously stated, Jacob Taccardi doesn’t use Facebook exclusively. While you might get the complete depth and history that you can get by searching through the information willingly made public on Facebook, Twitter allows for quick thoughts, insights, and opinions that you may have at anytime on any subject matter. A quick statement and your friends and followers will know what you’re thinking. Jacob Taccardi is well aware of the benefits but also the dangers that social media facilitates. The best way to stay connected and socially active is by using today’s social media.
